Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8am-5pm

Job Description
Our client, a “NYS agency focused on assisting students with their financial needs”, is looking for an Accountant.

Responsibilities

-Analysis of loan guaranty records for accuracy and completeness, and where appropriate for compliance with governing federal regulations and HESC policies and procedures.

-Adjustment of financial transactions to HESC’s Debt Management and Collection System and the Active Loans System. Adjustments pertain to existing regulations regarding student loan relief under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act ( CARES ACT) and account maintenance and updating.

Required Qualifications

These positions require a knowledge of automated accounting systems, a strong understanding of Excel and excellent attention to detail for reviewing and entering data on required systems and spreadsheets.
