Job Description :

The Pharmacy Benefits Bureau is seeking candidates to assist in the regulatory analysis and/or examination of registered pharmacy benefits management companies. Under the general supervision of a Financial Services Examiner or Supervisory staff, the incumbent will perform analytical or examination related assignments, depending on the operating needs of the bureau. 


 


Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Participates in the examination planning process with respect to the scope of a limited or targeted examination and reviews necessary material prior to the commencement of the examination;
• Participates in examination functions and prepares records of work in support of findings with regard to a subject company's market practices and compliance with applicable Law, Regulations and Circular Letters;
• Participates in meetings with representatives of the Department and/or subject companies;
• Performs analytical reviews and/or verification of documentary submissions;
• Prepares memoranda as required.


Required Qualifications :

• Three (3) or more years of experience working in health insurance or the pharmaceutical sector.
• Familiarity with statutory accounting principles, insurance regulation and/or NY Insurance Law.
• Experience in health care accounting and/or internal audit.
• Experience using audit analytics software such as ACL or Teammate EWP.
• Experience testing the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Demonstrable project management skills, including experience managing time-sensitive, complex projects simultaneously.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.


 


Hours: Mon.-Fri., 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
