Position Summary


We have an excellent opportunity for an Administrative Field Clerk to join a New York City Agency. This position will be based in Brooklyn or Queens and will provide essential administrative support to the Field Site staff at construction locations. We seek a detail-oriented and computer-literate individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


 




Responsibilities:





  • Answer phones and handle incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Greet visitors and provide assistance as needed, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.


  • Perform general office work, including filing, copying, scanning, and organizing documents.




  • Conduct data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining the integrity of the information.




  • Manipulate spreadsheets, inputting and extracting data as required.




  • Maintain files and archive records systematically, ensuring easy retrieval and confidentiality.





Required Qualifications :

Qualifications and Skills:



  • Four-year High School Diploma or GED.


  • Two years of full-time clerical/administrative experience.




  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel is preferred.




  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.







Specific Skills Required for the Position:



  • Computer-literate with a good understanding of office software and systems.


  • Detail-oriented, with a keen eye for accuracy and precision.




  • Punctual and personable, with the ability to maintain professionalism in a dynamic work environment.




  • Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and proactive problem-solving.




  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and respond to inquiries.




  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to changing technologies.




  • Past experience in the construction industry is helpful but not required.
