The NP shall serve up to twenty
(20)hours per week to provide healthcare support, public health education, advocacy for students, staff, and the community on health issues including COVID-19, by providing the latest updates and best practices to limit the spread of the virus. Additionally, the NP shall schedule periodic informational webinars through Zoom or the use of other remote platforms made available. The NP willalsobearesourcetothecommunitytoaddressgeneralhealthquestions.
Maybe required to administer immunization(s) and/or vaccine(s) provided by the Law School. Refers students and staff to healthcare professionals and resources as appropriate.
Ensures compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and other City, State and Federal laws and regulations including campus and university policies and protocols.
Documents and maintains accurate, confidential student medical records and statistics.
Provides initial emergency care and first aid and/or referrals as appropriate and responds to on-campus emergencies as per campus policies and protocols.
Tracks and maintains an adequate inventory of medical, pharmaceutical and office supplies. Stocks supplies and verifies expiration dates.
Follows infection control protocols in performing work and handles equipment and chemicalsaccordingtoCUNY'sguidelinesandotherlegalregulationsforpersonalandenvironmentalsafety.Ensures proper disposal of work-related hazardous materials and waste.
Provides initial emergency care and first aid and/or referral as appropriate. Responds toon-campus emergencies as per campus policy.
Enter the Law School building properly wearing a mask covering both nose and mouth
Pledge to wear an acceptable mask at all times while in the Law School building, unless they are in a room by themselves
Performs other professional nursing activities, as assigned by supervisor(s).
