Paralegal
- Assist the Frauds Director with communications
- Assist the Frauds Bureau with legal research
- Assist with documenting incoming fraud referrals
- Assist the Frauds Bureau with requesting subpoenas from the Office of General Counsel (OGC) for evidence gathering for cases and proper recording of subpoenas
- Assist with collection and the writing of narratives for the Frauds Bureau Annual Health Care Report and for the Department's Financial Fraud and Consumer Protection Division's (FFCPD)
Annual Report to the Governor's Office
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel
- Attention to detail is very important
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Ability to learn new computer systems quickly
- Assist investigators and examiners with legal issues
Additional Information:
-This is an incumbent position
- A background check and fingerprinting will be required
- Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams
- DFS does not provide parking, but the office is accessible by bus or subway
- Once training has been provided, DFS currently has a 50% telecommuting policy in place.
